Journey in dance
The Journey Home is a new drama dipped in Celtic magic, as two youngsters from distant lands, China and Ireland, long to be together in a passionate performance of music, song and dance. China's Eason Daoyi will take the stage with Irish dancer Catie Foley in a production that also features the voice and harp of Katie Targett-Adams, the Journey Home Irish Dance troupe, the Irish Boxty Rebellion and Dulwich College Mei Lanfang choir. The dance is choreographed by Karl Drake, who has also organized an Irish dance competition (feis) earlier in the day (starting at 10 am) to give Shanghai locals some pre-St. Patrick's Day fun.
