Full-scale production resumes

Updated: 2010-07-30

A 300,000-ton oil tanker berthed at the oil terminal in Dalian's Xingang port at 10 pm on Wednesday, marking the resumption of full-scale production in the port.

Dai Shiyong, a senior official, said operations in Dalian Port, including the Xingang port, were temporarily suspended after two pipelines blasted and triggered a fire and an oil spill.

As oil slick on ship passages and harbor basins has been cleaned up, it is safe for vessels to conduct approaching and leaving-shore operations, said Dai.
