Shanxi province signed 25 contracts with a total investment of 6.83 billion yuan ($1.08 billion) at the four-day ninth International Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Expo, which closed on Sept 25 in Guangzhou.

The 25 contracts involved industries such as electronic machinery, equipment manufacturing, agricultural products processing and new materials.

At the expo, Shanxi also actively participated in a series of summits targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises, including the Information Technology Summit, the Equity Financing Summit and the Financing Matchmaking Meeting.

Changzhi in Shanxi province held an investment promotion conference during the expo, announcing 20 projects seeking investment. Thirteen projects were signed, with committed financing reaching 360 million yuan ($57.13 million).
