The Shanxi Brands China Tour, at the Nanchang International Exhibition Center, in the capital of Jiangxi province, came to a satisfactory conclusion, on Nov 25, with sales worth 1.33 million yuan ($218,000) and contracts worth 44.03 million yuan signed.
There were 20 provinces involved in the 6th China Green Food Expo part of the four-day event, with the Shanxi exhibit a real stand-out and the largest in the area, with quite a few enterprises and products on hand, increasing its popularity.
In keeping with the green-food theme of the expo, Shanxi’s commerce bureau selected 49 Shanxi enterprises and 1300 products to put on display to open the Jiangxi provincial and regional markets better.
In response, the Jiangxi government spoke highly of the Shanxi tour and expressed a hope of increasing cooperation.
There are also meetings at the event where Shanxi brands were introduced, with sales information and green food supplies described. In addition, 20 Shanxi enterprises were able to communicate directly with Nanchang Department Store and the Hongcheng Group about business deals. The GMs of the two organizations were invited to the fair.
Thanks to the influence of this brands tour, Shanxi expects to expand its reach especially with the contracts. One good example of this was its health products getting in contact with the Taiwan market for the first time and the provincial cooking wine and vinegar entering a national purchasing system after a deal was reached with the Zhongkuai food and drink company, whose headquarters are in Nanchang.
