The central government plans to integrate the transportation systems between Beijing and Tianjin to connect to more cities in Hebei province.
Traffic authorities from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei agreed to draw up the unified traffic map using similar construction standards during a meeting held in Tianjin on April 29, according to the Ministry of Transport on Monday.
The three regions will promote the constructions of major expressways and high-speed railways across the economic hub. They will also develop joint traffic systems to share traffic information and facilities and coordinate traffic management.
For ports in the hub, Hebei and Tianjin will work together to apply for more preferential policies from the central government.
