The 2014 China Petroleum and Chemical International Conference, organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Tianjin municipal government, IHS from the US and the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers, will be unveiled in Tianjin from September 11 to 13. The 13th China International Chemical Industry Fair (ICIF China) will also be held at the same time in tandem.
At the 2014 China Petroleum and Chemical International Conference, themed “Development Prospects of the Global Petrochemical Industry and Development Opportunities of China in the Next 10 Years,” dozens of decision-makers of petrochemical enterprises and more than 1,000 honored guests from more than 30 countries and regions, as well as representatives of over 30 influential petrochemical enterprises at home and abroad, will sit together to explore the development of the petroleum and chemical industry in the following decade.
The conference will discuss issues such as a new round of investment in the global petrochemical industry; the development trend of the international petrochemical market; and trade, merger and industrial acquisition of international petrochemical enterprises. The opportunities brought by China’s new round of reform and opening-up; carbon dioxide emissions reduction and utilization in the petrochemical industry and green chemical industry; and sustainable development will be probed as important topics.
The event has also mapped out activities like CEO roundtable conferences, Sino-Japan summit meetings on petrochemical development and other high-level closed-door meetings.
In recent years, the municipal committee and the government of Tianjin has developed the petrochemical industry into a pillar industry. The 2014 ICIF China and 2014 China Petroleum and Chemical International Conference are expected to further promote communication and mutual benefits as well as cooperation of petroleum and chemical enterprises at home and abroad.
