A spinal cord injury is a serious central nervous system injury that affects human lives and is also a puzzle in the global clinical medicine area.

After more than a decade of research, Dai Jianwu, a researcher at the inheritance and development biological research institute of the Chinese Academy of Science, is leading a regeneration medical research team and has developed a kind of nerve regenerated holder based on collagen.

As a new hope in the treatment of spinal cord injuries, the nerve regenerated holder serves as a bridge to regenerate spinal cord nerves and also provide a suitable environment for its reconstruction and regeneration.

The Neurological Hospital of the Chinese Armed Police Force completed the first transplantation integrating the nerve regenerated holder technique with stem cells to heal a spinal cord injury. The next step for the hospital is to provide rehabilitation training and systematic analysis of the effect of the surgery.
