The Tianjin FTZ is also a city of recreation. The largest polar aquarium in Asia is located in the central business area of the FTZ. The Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean World provides an hour long marine animal show, during which penguins, polar bears, sea lions, and walruses offer performances.

The Tianjin Port not only provides port industrial tourism but also carries the only man-made beach in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei area. Families can enjoy sunshine on the beach at Tianjin Port and visit Happy Valley, a famous amusement park in the Tianjin Airport area.
