The first talent recruitment fair of Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone (Tianjin FTZ) was launched on May 10. Hundreds of corporations in the Tianjin FTZ provided thousands of job openings. Talent from industries such as global trade and finance were in high demand.
The recruitment fair is expected to welcome around 3,000 applicants, while onsite job seekers were greatly outnumbered. The duration of the recruitment fair was extended.
Many job seekers were from outside Tianjin. Song Xinmin, a job applicant, traveled eight hours from Hengshui in Hebei province.

Major companies such as China Offshore International Corporation, AVIC Tianjin Aviation Electro-Mechanical Corporation, and Cashway Technology Corporation recruited at the job fair.
Chinese Academy of Sciences Tianjin Industrial and Biological Technology Institution offered more than 40 positions, including core technical positions such as research assistant of evolution and metabolism project and engineer of technological center fermentation platform.
As many as 764 corporations registered in Tianjin Airport Economic Area of the FTZ in the first quarter, 100 percent more than last year. The number of foreign capital corporations grew 160 percent.
"The Tianjin FTZ's airport area needs talents in following five industries - aerospace and aviation, manufacturing, new generation information technology, biological pharmacy, and general consumer products," said Liu Zhongyu, director of Human Resources Department of Tianjin Airport Economic Area.
"Research and management talents in aviation research and development (R&D), manufacturing, biotechnology, and the Internet are greatly in need," added Liu.
Experts pointed out that as more and more enterprises in global trade, international finance, and logistics join the Tianjin FTZ, the demand of professionals in international rules and global trade, senior mangers in international logistics, and innovative talents who have experience in international finance is increasing.

Shi Wei, director of human resources department of Guokaiyintou Tianjin Asset Management Corporation said that he received more than 50 resumes in less than an hour.
The Tianjin FTZ has launched measures to attract talent. The airport area has started a development capital fund with a total size of 200 million yuan ($32.22 million) to build a more complete service environment including training, housing, and supporting facilities in areas such as children's education.
