Tianjin Airlines purchased 22 aircrafts from Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica, an aerospace company in Brazil on May 19, according to Embraer China Company. The aircrafts cost around $1.1 billion, including 20 E-195 and two E190-E2 aircrafts.

Tianjin Airlines is the first Chinese airline company to order E190-E2 aircraft, and has a sales agreement with Embraer for 40 aircraft. The remaining 18 will be included in the second phase agreement after government approval.

The first aircraft will be delivered in 2015, while the first plane is expected to be delivered in 2018. The order will be included in Embraer's orders in the second quarter of 2015. Tianjin Airlines is the largest E-jet operator in Asia.
