Tianjin has integrated administrative procedures concerning the medication retailers. Following the integration of business registration in March, Tianjin went on to integrate five administrative registrations. The new "five in one" registration will be officially launched beginning June 5.

At 9:00 in the morning of June 5, Dong Mingzhen, owner of a pharmacy in Hexi District of Tianjin visited the Administrative Approval Service Center to apply for the new registration. Dong received the first "five in one" integrated Medication Operation Registration of Tianjin at 9:30. The entire process of examination, registration, and distribution only took half an hour.

The five registrations were the medication operation registration, medication operational management registration, medical equipment operation registration, food sanitation registration, and food circulation registration. All of the registrations were issued by the former Food and Drug Administration and Administration of Industry and Commerce.

The integrated registration provides more convenience to the public and optimizes the approval process.

Applicants only need to submit one application to receive the integrated registration, which permits the operation of medication, medical equipment, and foods.

Applicants are received from one window, and the single form is approved and distributed by a special team. The process further simplifies the handling procedure and provides convenience.

The examination and approval time declined from 59 work days to seven work days now. The approval efficiency has been greatly improved. The new registration solves the problem of difficulties and overload of registrations, and greatly reduces the corporations' burden.

Tianjin integrates medication operation registrations. The city also developed a united system to manage information on medication retailers including corporation names, registration address, warehouse address, head of the corporation, responsible persons, operation format, product ranges, and medication operational quality management.

The unified procedures further strengthened the administrative responsibilities of related departments. A medication risk control mechanism was established. Timely risk checking and evaluation work improved the administrative standard of the city.
