Tianjin will promote smart communities and urban areas, according to a recent proposal.
Establishing a smart community requires a network window for social assistance, legal aid, elderly care, housekeeping, and other community services.
According to the proposal, the city will complete the community management and the comprehensive service information system relying on the community management system and comprehensive data base to further improve the community service function and promote the local management abilities.
In addition, the city will establish more infrastructures for elderly care household and promote applications for smart households, medication, property management, and mail delivery.
Tianjin will encourage third party platforms to participate in establishment and operation of smart communities. A new mechanism on informational community, guided by the government, will be established.
Tianjin also plans for smart urban areas, encouraging the development of smart applications in infrastructure and management, and launch of demonstrative pilots in the Binhai New Area, central urban areas, and Sino-Singapore Ecological City.
In order to drive the development of a smart city, Tianjin will also enact preferential policies and promote smart urban pilots.
