Two vehicles spraying water mists to eliminate dusts attract residents and visitors’ attention in the Tianjin Airport Economic Area since June. The vehicles work 24 hours nonstop and effectively managed the dust in the city.

It is only a tiny part of Tianjin Airport Economic Area’s investment in environmental management. Nearly 300 million yuan ($47 million) have been invested in the ecological environment establishment in the area since the beginning of the year. Appropriate environment will become an important reason for investors choosing Tianjin.

The Tianjin Airport Economic Area has increased investment in ecological environment establishment to attract more projects and promote the rapid development of the ecological and economic integration.

In the first three quarters, the Airport Economic Area attracted 3,412 new projects, which increased 79.8 percent. The registered capital reached 50.6 billion yuan ($7.9 billion), which increased 151.4 percent.

Li Ying brought her project from Beijing to the Airport Economic Area and established her company here.

“My team visited the place and did research in the area and was attracted by the pleasant environment. The place is similar to the science parks in European countries and the US,” said Li.

“We thought that we would be quite happy to work and live in the area,” added Li.

Liang Mingwei, who has many years’ oversea life experience said that he chose to register his company in the Airport Economic Area because of the natural and cultural environment are suitable to the development of IT cororations.

The area has invested nearly 300 million yuan ($47 million) in ecological environment establishment including park construction, greenery cultivation, atmosphere management, environmental sanitation, and lightening, according to the Administrative Commission of the Tianjin Airport Economic Area.

The area has completed the construction of 29 road-side greenery projects and three parks. The total area of new greeneries reached 450,000 square meters.

In the aspect of air pollution prevention and water body management, the area launched a new batch of ecological environment projects including furnace transformation and wetland cultivation. The area also purchased 31 new environmental sanitation vehicles to clean the major streets six times per day and other roads twice a day. The air quality has been improved effectively.

In addition, the area enhances the cultivation of parks and greeneries and the management of urban infrastructures. It also launches delicate environmental sanitation works to clean all the garbage and dirt in the street.

The area establishes a management format integrating urban management and ecological environment and uses digital urban management platform to monitor the environment. The platform provides a report everyday. Therefore, the problems of urban management and ecological environment can be found and solved in time.
