The Administrative Commission of Tianjin Development Area and the Sinica Gene Technology Corporation Tianjin Company recently signed a cooperation agreement. The largest “clone factory” will be launched in the Tianjin Economic Development Area (TEDA).

The project is estimated to bring 200 million yuan ($) of investment and plans to construct the only animal clone experiment assembly line in the world, the animal clone center with highest standard, gene database, and education exhibition center.

The project will bring unique and major industrial position and influence to TEDA and becomes a featured name card in the biology and health industry in TEDA and the Binhai New Area.

The “clone factory” will be launched by Sinica Gene Technology Corporation and supported by Peking University Medical Institution, Tianjin International Biological Medication Associated Institute, and South Korean Sooam Biotech Institute.

It will be dedicated in clone business of premium working dogs, pets, non-human primates, premium cattle, and leading racing horses. It will accelerate the development of clone technology in modern husbandry breed improvement and provision of animals with special diseases.
