An official website for the 2016 Summer Davos Forum, in the city of Tianjin, east of Bejing, has opened to the public at -- http: //www.tj-summerdavos.cn -- in both English and Chinese, with help from enorth.com.cn.
The home page has a picture of refurbished century-old Minyuan Square to remind people of the city’s uniqueness and its mixture of the historical and modern and it can be accessed by IPAD or mobile phone and is linked to the mobile application“Touch Tianjin”, a news app of the municipal government.
It will also use multimedia sites to promote the forum, and with customized pages on Sina Weibo (a Chinese Twitter), and WeChat (a popular messaging app) will to be added for online interaction. There is also a call for volunteers underway for the Annual New Champions Meeting 2016.
The first Summer Davos Forum was held in China in 2006 and Tianjin will be the host of the economic gathering for the fifth time in 2016.
