Stamping coin for good luck
The commercial street of Heping District, Tianjin was built in the 1950s and is one of the longest business streets in china. The street is 1240 meters long and several historic and modern shopping malls and stores are located there, including Guishunzhai -- a traditional dessert shop in Tianjin -- and the Zhengxingde tea house, a century-old tea shop established in the Qing Dynasty. There is even an international shopping mall. Besides the ancient architecture, there is a big cultural mark -- a large copper-coin, embedded in the street. It displays four Chinese characters, "He Ping Ju Bao", which means peaceful and gathering wealth. Many visitors stamp on the coin, hoping to receive good luck and become rich. [Photo/people.com.cn]
