Beijing's Tongzhou district, Tianjin's Wuqing district and Hebei's Langfang City signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation and development. They will work together for many projects such as promoting environmental protection, speeding up public service coordination and deepening scientific innovation and talent cooperation.
They will continue to strengthen high-level planning and communications through a variety of methods and initiatives. These include the construction of a transport planning liaison mechanism, improving ecological environment protection, promoting industrial coordination, protecting and developing the Grand Canal, and coordinating public service cooperation. In addition, special solutions will be worked out to propel and strengthen the cooperation between Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province.
Tongzhou District will continue to focus on setting up a communication and coordination platform. Through prompting construction projects such as the Beijing-Tangshan Inter-city Railway and creating a canal culture area, a good example will be set to lead border-regional cooperation.
Ren Zhenyu, director-general of the Tongzhou District Development and Reform Commission, said that Tongzhou, Wuqing and Hebei province have been innovating regional collaboration and communication mechanisms, and made obvious progress in areas such as promoting industrial cooperation, creating a better environment and improving the transport networks.
The cooperative union plays a big role in the coordinative development throughout Beijing, Tianjin and Heibei province.
2017 will show a deeper, more rounded implementation of unified planning, control and mutual development, especially in the transportation, ecological and supportive fields.
