"Chinese Spring Festival: Charm of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei" events were held in the US, Costa Rica, and Panama from Feb 10 to 17.

Chinese artists brought the festival atmosphere of traditional Chinese culture from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to audiences in Beverly Hills, San José, and Panama City.

A “Chinese Spring Festival: Charm of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei” show was staged on Feb 10, 11 in Los Angeles. The performance brought together the cultural resources of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, including Beijing's Kunqu Opera, dancing, and Taiji performances, Tianjin's folk music, and Hebei province's acrobatic talents.

"Chinese artists brought traditional Chinese culture to us during Spring Festival. I learned more about Chinese culture, and felt people's happiness during the festival," said Katie, from Los Angeles.

Folk music from Tianjin impressed an audience in Los Angeles with its unique regional characteristics.

Exhibitions were held in these places to display traditional Chinese culture, including a tea ceremony, incense Taoism, and flower arrangement performances organized by Beijing, a Yangliuqing New Year wood-block print exhibition organized by Tianjing, and Yuxian paper-cut exhibitions and performances organized by Hebei province.

The activities aroused great interest and enthusiasm. The audience lined up to take pictures of the exhibitions, experiencing the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Thirty Yangliuqing New Year wood-block print works and photos of Tianjin were displayed, introducing the history of this traditional craftsmanship as well as the economic and social development of Tianjin in recent years.

The Chinese delegation conducted further communication with the three cities, enhancing mutual understanding of city development and regional cultures and laying a good foundation for future communication.
