国有资产证券化(Guóyǒu zīchǎn zhèngquànhuà): Securitization of State-owned asset

(China Daily) Updated: 2016-07-11 07:59

China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission said last week it will pilot a series of reforms for the securitization of State-owned assets.

The Commission's spokesman said the aim is to help the government improve its supervision and administration of State-owned assets.

Some State-owned capital investment and management companies will be set up to invest in, hold and manage State-owned stock rights, and they will be responsible for the preservation of State-owned assets and increasing their value. They will be set up with sufficient autonomy to be able to adapt to the market.

These companies are expected to invest in some industries of strategic importance, and play an important role in the industrial transformation and the restructuring of the national economy.

So far, more than half of China's provincial regions have vowed to securitize more than half of the State-owned assets under their control by 2020.
