On Sept 25th, Shanghai Superior People's Court held an Inauguration Ceremony for Chinese Courts International Exchange Base (Shanghai) for Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights.
Tao Kaiyuan, vice president of the Supreme People's Court, Jiang Ping, a member of Shanghai Standing Committee and secretary of Politics and Law Committee, Zhao Wen, Shanghai’s vice mayor, and Cui Yadong, the president of Shanghai Superior People's Court, attended the ceremony and unveiled the nameplate for the base.

More than 100 people, including the principals of the Third Civil Court of Supreme People's Court, the Bureau of Foreign Affairs and Committee for Internal and Judicial Affairs of Shanghai Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Committee for Social and Legal Affairs of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, Municipal Office of Legislative Affairs, Municipal Office of Foreign Affairs, Municipal Intellectual Property Administration, and other departments and unit representatives, as well as some foreign consular officers, and domestic and foreign media journalists.
It is known that, the Chinese Courts International Exchange Base (Shanghai) for Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights is an important channel for Chinese courts to understand and obtain international experience on intellectual property judicial protection, an important window for displaying the excellent image of the judicial protection about intellectual property of the Chinese courts, and even an important platform for Chinese courts to participate in the international management system of intellectual property protection.
