Xiyuemiao, a Taoist temple at the foot of Huashan in Shaanxi Province. I visited this temple in 2007 for the first time, then again in 2009, February 2012, and then again in April 2013, just a few weeks before my grandparents died. Xiyuemiao is also known as "Shaanxi Gugong" because its layout is very similar to Beijing's Palace Museum (Gugong) and boasts centuries of history. The current structures in the temple complex date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. This temple, however close to the famous Huashan peaks, is less well known to visitors.
