The Beijing Overseas Culture Center on Monday became the stage for the debut of a captivating film titled "Chinese Dragon Dance around the World," coinciding with the celebration of "dragon raising its head" in the lunar calendar.

The event was graced by the presence of Pang Wei, a first-level inspector of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, along with officials from the Foreign Promotion Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, and officials from the Mexican Embassy in China.

The film, which features zodiac flash mobs, showcases the vibrant spectacle of the Chinese Dragon Dance in various international settings, including Beijing, San Francisco, Mexico City, and Lima. Through 26 flash mobs and 80 sets of storyboards filmed within 75 hours, the production team captured the essence of the zodiac-themed celebrations, symbolizing unity and goodwill across cultures.

At the heart of the film is the "True Dragon Boy," a representation of the zodiac dragon, embodying the ideals and aspirations of the Chinese nation. The protagonist embarks on a journey from China to the Americas, partaking in ceremonial festivities and bestowing New Year blessings upon countless families. From the iconic Great Wall of China to the majestic Pyramids of Mexico, the film portrays the boy's amiable interactions with the Inca and Aztec civilizations, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Chinese culture.

This film stands as a significant achievement of the cultural exchange delegation organized by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism during the Dragon Year Spring Festival. By staging zodiac-themed flash mobs in the streets, the delegation successfully disseminated the spirit of the Spring Festival and the essence of the zodiac, piquing the curiosity of local communities about Chinese culture.
