To serve China's dual carbon goals to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060, the State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company in Anhui province is enhancing the regulation of new energy by building a data collection system and an observation and control system that can monitor and predict the operation of low-voltage distributed photovoltaics.

At the same time, the company, while focusing on the efficient usage of clean energy, is prioritizing the needs of users, supporting rural vitalization and empowering a better quality of life.

In light of various factors such as rain, snow, freezing weather, the peak travel period during the Spring Festival, and the increasing demand for energy from electric vehicles, State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company has been planning to tackle the problems that could arise this year.

Staff members conducted regular inspections at each charging station, identifying and addressing issues such as power reduction in charging piles, module damage and fire extinguisher issues. They strengthened the inspection of safety hazards related to substandard firefighting equipment, damaged rain shelters and underground equipment and then reported back to maintenance departments for timely repair.

During the period from the Spring Festival to the Tomb-sweeping Festival this year, the cumulative charging amount at public charging stations in Suzhou's Dangshan county reached approximately 219,910 kilowatt-hours, marking a growth of more than 32 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Although both the charging amount and frequency have reached record highs, the county's charging facilities operated smoothly and orderly thanks to the company's efforts.

With a commitment to constructing an efficient and user-friendly charging system, by the end of 2023, State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company had established a total of 66 electric vehicle charging stations and 181 charging piles. It also collaborated with 36 4S stores to enhance the charging service of electric vehicles, in a bid to provide environmentally friendly travel for users.

The company said that to ensure a better life for the public and promote the construction of a beautiful China, it will integrate its own reform and development into the whole picture of the construction of the Party and the State. They will leverage the advantages of the power grid industry and contribute to the construction of a modern socialist country and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.
