"Hong Kong has established itself as a home for a lot of people, including us. And in recent years, there are also a lot of people leaving Hong Kong for other cities for various reasons. So for them, they'd simply say that they're from Hong Kong."

With a stage production titled Home Sweat Home, he explores questions about identity: How do people identify themselves? Is identity based on people's birthplaces or the places they migrate to? Where do people feel a sense of belonging?

As this year marks the 45th anniversary of the CCDC, the production has gone on a Chinese mainland tour to four cities: Shenzhen and Zhuhai in Guangdong province, Beijing, and Qinhuangdao in Hebei province for this year's Aranya Theater Festival.

Apart from Ng, the production is co-created by Anna Lo and Rick Lau, both Hong Kong theater artists and performers, and is based on a Hong Kongstyle cabaret the three worked together on, titled LauZone, a Cantonese colloquial term for non-Cantonese residents in Hong Kong.
