At a senior high school in Xiangcheng, a county-level city of Central China's Henan province, workers inspected the electrical equipment in the electrical room, broadcasting studio and classrooms, to ensure the smooth progress of this year's Gaokao.
This is China's national college entrance examination, which is of vital importance to students and relies heavily on a stable power supply.
The State Grid's Xiangcheng Power Supply Co said it had made full preparations before this year's Gaokao, which concluded recently, by developing a detailed power supply plan and setting up a special working group.
Cooperating with the local government, the company said it dispatched 96 workers to inspect key areas and transmission lines, as well as to promptly eliminate any potential hazards.
A series of advanced technologies, such as drone patrol and infrared temperature measurement, were actively utilized during inspection, said the company.
A total of 79 electrical hazards were identified and eliminated across the city, enabling this year's exam to go ahead without any problems, the company added.
