The writing examination for the 2025 civil servants' recruitment drive culminated on Sunday. The examination was held to recruit civil servants for central ministries and government bodies.
Approximately 2.59 million candidates undertook the writing examination — 86.7 percent of the total 2.98 million qualified for the examination at 101,345 testing sites in 248 designated cities nationwide across 31 provinces and regions, according to the National Civil Service Administration.
The administration said that based on the attendance at the writing test, a single civil servant job opening will see 65 contenders on average for the year 2025. It said that the writing tests were well organized at all designated testing sites.
According to the administration, the writing test results will be available to test takers in January, while the interviews will be arranged by ministries and government bodies themselves with the dates yet to be released.
The nation plans to recruit 39,721 civil servants for central ministries and government bodies next year. Candidates for the civil servant recruitment are usually required to be aged between 18 and 35, with the age limit relaxed up to 40 years old for fresh postgraduates and PhD graduates.
