Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity should be respected, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Thursday, after Israel launched airstrikes in Syria.
"Given the ongoing turbulence in the Middle East, any action that leads to an escalation should be avoided," Lin said.
