Voices of Youth, a new variety show produced by streaming giant iQIYI, spotlights choral performances and musical talent of China's Generation Z. It premiered on April 24 and is released weekly on iQIYI and its international platforms.

As China's first pop performance choral reality show, Voices of Youth brings together 25 young entertainers — including singers, idols, actors and emerging musicians — under the slogan of "Together, we are extraordinary." The program follows their journey from individuals to a cohesive ensemble through intensive training and stage competitions.

With music and arrangements aligned with younger audiences' tastes, the weekly show aims to bring choral music from the concert hall into the mainstream while fostering exchange among young talent.

The debut episode featured an energetic group performance of the theme song We Young, alongside vocal assessments and SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass) part assignments overseen by artistic director Zhao Zhao.

On Wednesday, cast members attended a media event in Langfang, Hebei province, showcasing teamwork through interactive games and dance challenges.

Speaking at the event, Zhao described the program as "a brand-new music variety format — an electrifying one".

"It differs from all others as a growth-oriented choral ensemble, where members support and elevate each another," Zhao said. "Since joining, everything just feels energized—being with them is incredibly uplifting and inspiring," he added.
