Tencent, PayPal World team up to ease payments for travelers

Chinese tech giant Tencent announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with US fintech firm PayPal World to make it easier for international visitors to pay in China.

Announced at the 2026 Shenzhen International Finance Expo, the partnership links Tencent's TenPay Global with PayPal World, enabling travelers from the US to scan WeChat Pay codes and pay at millions of local merchants across China using their PayPal wallet accounts. Watch the video to learn more.
