Healthcare professionals from 13 countries, including Jordan, Türkiye, Portugal, and Panama completed three weeks of intensive medical imaging training hosted by Peking Union Medical College Hospital last week.
Through technical lectures, clinical visits, and cultural activities, the Belt and Road International Training Program on Medical Imaging Equipment Configuration and Management and the Training Program on Medical Imaging Technology for Latin American Countries shared China's experience in medical imaging technologies, equipment quality control, workflow management, image interpretation, and artificial intelligence-assisted applications, while promoting professional exchange and mutual understanding.
China's domestically developed medical imaging systems combine advanced technology with cost-effectiveness. These systems can be adapted to the actual conditions of primary-level medical institutions in various countries and provide practical and feasible solutions to address bottlenecks in imaging equipment allocation, operation, and maintenance. AI technologies have also been integrated throughout the medical imaging workflow, from patient registration and image reconstruction to scan protocol optimization and lesion detection.
