Piano fans in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, will embrace the L'Espirit du Piano music festival from June 20 to June 24. Originally from France, the stage is set for five rising international pianists and workshops for the young stars to tutor free of charge.
The romantic preludes of Chopin played by Chinese pianist Yuan Jie will open proceedings. There is an imaginative adaption of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake by Belgian pianist Florian Noack and a skillful presentation by French pianist Paolo Rigutto of the difficult pieces composed by Lizst and Beethoven.
There will also be four workshops from June 21-23.
