George Chinnery was one of the best 19th-century artists working in Asia. The Englishman captured burgeoning towns when they were still young ports welcoming clipper ships sailing between China and Europe as well as the daily toil of locals carrying babies on their backs. This exhibition of 30 works showcases the master's depictions of Macao, capturing the lives of everyday people and the places where they lived, worked, worshipped and played.
