Guiyang is a hot summer resort destination according to the 2013 Summer Destination Report released in Beijing on June 18, 2013.
The report ranks the 60 major summer resorts in China based on an index of climate comfort, tourist satisfaction, scenery and aggregate risk.
According to the report, Guiyang is a better city for living and travelling, with a comfortable average temperature of 24 C in summer, relative humidity of 76 - 79 percent and negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter reaching 1,400.
