The international luxury hospitality group has brought something different to the southwestern mountainous city.

It is a landmark in location, amenities and service.

The Guiyang operation is part of a growing collection of distinguished properties by the Kempinski as it extends its European tradition of luxury all over the world.

Founded in 1897, it is Europe's oldest luxury hotel hospitality group. Today it continues to provide guests with memorable journeys inspired by exquisite Continental flair.

Located in the tallest high-rise in Guizhou province, the new Kempinski Hotel Guiyang has 366 guestrooms and suites on the 29th to 53rd floors, and a Presidential Suite covering 285 square meters on the 53rd floor.

Each guestroom and suite, elegantly finished with plush furnishings and a complete set of amenities, offers guests magnificent views of the city and its surrounding scenery. The 52 suites cater to the business and leisure requirements of senior executives.

Rooms on executive floors have a 24-hour butler service, free wireless network and meeting rooms. Club 53 on the top floor provides afternoon tea and cocktails for guests.

As night falls, it is a special place for family and friends to enjoy a great meal and memorable times.

"We believe life should be lived with style," says General Manager Fuat Koroglu.

"A hotel should make its customers feel both comfortable and secure, especially for a luxury hotelier," he says.

Located in bustling downtown Guiyang, the hotel is now one of the landmarks of the city, its exclusivity favored by both foreign and domestic customers.

"Kempinski is a hotel group with over 100 years of history-we have an unwritten rule that the number of hotels shouldn't surpass the group's age," Koroglu says.

It currently has 72 five-star hotels around the world and is building new ones. Making the existing hotels more comfortable is also a primary goal, according to the hotel group.

Cradled by picturesque mountains, Guiyang is known in China for its pleasant climate and natural setting.

Koroglu says he loves the clean air and sometimes walks along the street by himself just to observe the city.

Consistent with its long history, the Kempinski Guiyang retains its signature approach of rigorous and conscientious service, but new elements are also crucial to its style.

Since 2012, the Kempinski Guiyang has organized and hosted charity events, arts exhibitions and cocktail parties and invited locals to participate. Koroglu believes the interaction spreads the influence of the hotel.

"Blending in with local culture is the key for the hotel to keep running, specially for a five-star luxury brand," says Koroglu.

And it has once again joined with Paulaner, the renowned authentic German brauhaus chain.

On the sixth floor, it is the highest Paulaner in China and with a seating capacity of 500, also the largest.

Following the fragrance of malt and hops, Paulaner customers see micro-brewing equipment and a German brew master busy at his craft.

"It is a place that meets the need for German beer and food while providing a spectacular view of the city," says Koroglu.

During the heat of this year's FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the Paulaner at the Kempinski was a hotspot for soccer fans.

Koroglu says he believes Kempinski Guiyang has a bright future, as does the city itself.
