Guiyang announced, on Oct 11, that it will build production lines for electric vehicle chargers over the next three years, at an estimated cost of 500-million yuan ($79.07million) with a network that covers most public areas, including scenic spots.
The head of Guizhou Qiandongli Co, which is in charge of the project, explained that the project includes a charging points R&D center and at least three production lines.
The provincial government has also provided subsidies and tax cuts to promote the use of new energy vehicles, a sector that has seen strong growth recently, and to cut emissions and save energy.
