Guiyang has appointed Wudang district as a pilot zone to test out the application of big data in improving its environment.
During the trial process, Wudang district will record changes in the atmosphere and water tables. The accumulated data will be used to build an information sharing platform which will form the basis of decisions to improve the ecological environment.
A number of monitoring points will be put in place around sources of pollution and populated areas to produce live data, providing references for environmental law enforcement and decision-making.
