The 2017 Cross-border Investment and Trade Fair of the Guizhou Inland Opening–up Pilot Economic Zone was held in the Gui'an New Area, Guizhou province, from Sept 8 to 10.
The fair aimed to present the resources, culture and economic achievements of Guizhou province to attract foreign companies to invest in Guizhou and cooperate with local companies.
The fair witnessed 156 overseas companies and more than 500 companies in the province in attendance. Seven hundred and forty-nine rounds of face-to-face negotiations, three forums and four promotional meetings were launched at this year's trade fair.
Last year's fair was also held in the Gui'an New Area, attracting companies from more than 40 countries and regions. The fair witnessed 557 preliminary agreements valued at 22.8 billion yuan ($3.5 billion).
