The tourism marketing cooperation week, hosted by Guiyang government and American Society of Travel Agency (ASTA), will open on Nov 5, aiming to build a platform for both sides to exchange ideas on travel promotion and tourism industrialization.
ASTA is not only America's biggest travel industry society but also the biggest travel industry society in the world. This is the first time for ASTA to visit to Guizhou, a province located in southwest China.
During the week, more than 200 domestic travel agencies will flock together in Guiyang, alongside the current 130 notable American travel agencies.
Negotiation and promotion activities will be held during the weeklong event to facilitate the cooperation between the tourism industry of the two countries.
Guiyang offers a number of promotion plans in order to promote local tourism and draw more American tourists. People with American passports will get a discount on admission tickets for scenic areas, flight tickets and hotel bookings.
