In the production department of Liyuan Hydraulic Co, a Guiyang based hydraulic pump and motor manufacturer, every production process can be carried out by monitoring the central control system of the intelligent production line rather than using manpower.
Liyuan Hydraulic started automating production in 2014, and achieved a revenue of 700 million yuan ($104 billion) in 2018. It is expect to earn an annual revenue of 1 billion yuan in the future.
In the Guiyang National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, and biopharmaceutical industry clusters have attracted 131 high-tech enterprises, including Huawei, Intel, and Hewlett-Packard.
Guiyang plans to introduce 30 middle and high-end manufacturing and trade service enterprises by 2020. The total value of industrial output focused on high-end manufacturing is expected to reach 300 billion yuan.
By 2025, high-end manufacturing is expected to produce 800 billion yuan in industrial output.
By 2035, Guiyang plans to form a new industrial system based on middle and high-end manufacturing. The total value of the city's imports and exports is closing in on $50 billion, while total industrial output value will exceed 3 trillion yuan, making Guiyang an influential manufacturing center of Southwest China.
