The air quality of Guiyang ranked 10th among China's 168 main cities in October, two places higher than the same period last year, according to a report issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on Nov 19.
Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – also ranked fifth among China's provincial capitals for air quality in the month.
From January to October, Guiyang's air quality ranked 11th among China's 168 main cities and fourth among the provincial capitals.
In October, the good and excellent air quality rate of Guiyang was 100 percent, the monthly average concentration of fine particles was 16 micrograms per cubic meter, while the monthly average concentration of inhalable particles was 30 micrograms per cu m.
