The first Emperor Yao Culture Tourism Festival opened in Linfen, Shanxi on April 2, and lasted until April 24.
Linfen, in the southwest of Shanxi by the Yellow River, is regarded as a cradle of Huaxia Civilization and one of origins of Chinese nation.
The first Emperor Yao Culture Tourism Festival aims to be a platform for culture, tourism and trade. A total of 13 activities were scheduled over the 23-day festival, including an opening ceremony, performance, photography exhibition, trade meeting and tourism promotion conference.
