With many students in China taking time off from studies, also known as gap year, this website conducted an online survey to find out how many Chinese were aware of this concept.
Here’s a detailed look at the study that was titled Have you heard of gap year?
The result analysis includes answers from all 3,146 respondents. Out of those who participated in the survey, 85 percent were between the age of 18 and 24, with all of them in college.
By targeting this demography, the study provides a better picture of the awareness level. The results show that 52 percent of respondents have not heard of gap year, 13 percent have only rudimentary knowledge, while 4 percent know gap year very well, with some of them already taken time off from college or planning to go on gap year.
