Should a woman propose to a man?

I would never propose to a guy because it not only shows my insecurities but exposes my desperation. Times have changed but there are some issues that are definitely not up for compromise. To make it worse, if a woman is ever forced to go down on one knee then the guy doesn't deserve her.
