I am glad there is no tipping in China. Groveling servility - that which one has to do in order to earn a decent tip - is downright demeaning! I agree that the best 'tip' would be returning to that establishment, and one reason to return is good service.

I’ve lived in China for quite a considerable time including my graduate school years, travelled and worked in a few cities and still choose my destination taking into consideration the density of smog or PM2.5 particulate matter in the region.
