5G, big data boosts smart transportation in Jiangsu

Staff members of Suzhou Transportation Operations Coordination Center, or the TOCC, conduct real-time monitoring on the data platform of the command center, on Dec 18. The application of TOCC in public transportation focuses on scientific dispatching. The use of the big data platform for the supervision of operating vehicles is one of the most important tasks of the command center. It can locate taxis and buses in real time and dispatch them scientifically to connect with the railways and rail transit. The center can control the safety risks of passenger and freight vehicles. Information --- including real-time positions, speeds, historical tracking, and the electronic waybills of each vehicle --- can be tracked and viewed.
