5G, big data boosts smart transportation in Jiangsu

Vessels are loaded and unloaded at Jiangyin Port in Wuxi in Jiangsu province on Dec 19. The Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River carries some 70 percent of the freight volume of the entire Yangtze River. To provide optimal safety supervision, more than 10 gantry cranes at the port have been equipped with 5G-based video monitoring equipment. The video images transmitted by 5G signals are much clearer than the screen images transmitted by 4G, and there is no delay in real-time transmissions.
