Talents are discovered early. I doubt Chinese soccer team will ever thrive without a proper talent vetting program. It's not just about teamwork, Chinese soccer talent is simply lacking. Of course, a proper system to nurture these talents and turn them into professionals is also lacking. Anyway it's still good that soccer will be introduced in schools as a mandatory activity to teach teamwork and competitive spirit as well as a form of recreation, it helps keep youngsters healthy and give them an extra activity to pursue while not studying.

If a good soccer talent is spotted, then send them to a special soccer school to be trained by professionals. The rest can continue to participate in soccer as a recreation. A healthy body leads to healthy and more attentive mind, having soccer as a compulsory activity is a good idea.
