Chinese agricultural drone maker unveils new robots and unmanned lawn mower

XAG Co Ltd, one of China's largest smart agricultural drone makers, launched its new X series of agricultural robots and an unmanned lawn mower in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, on Monday, offering accessible agricultural automation management solutions.

The X series agricultural robots feature fully automated capabilities for route planning, aerial spraying, liquid mixing and refilling, recharging and maintenance, significantly helping reduce the labor and resource consumption associated with crop protection, according to the company.

The company's RM80 unmanned lawn mower is powered by pure electricity and equipped with full-stack intelligence, providing an easy, efficient, eco-friendly, and cost-effective solution for agricultural weed control.

With its high-clearance chassis and high-performance cutting deck, it is capable of handling various tasks such as orchard mowing, land reclamation and field stubble removal.

XAG's drones have been operational in over 70 countries and regions, having completed agricultural tasks on about 186 million hectares of farmland over the past few years, Gong Jiaqin, co-founder of XAG, said.

"The wide use of agricultural drones has helped tens of millions of farmers reduce costs and increase income," Gong said during a news conference on Monday.

Currently, China has over 300,000 agricultural drones, making it the global leader in both the number and scale of drone applications, according to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
