LONDON -- A huge fire was burning at Arthur's Seat, a prominent landmark in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Sunday evening, fire rescue authorities said Sunday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said four fire engines were sent to the scene after it was alerted at 6:38 pm local time (1738 GMT). Crews remained at the site, with no casualties reported.

Footage posted on social media showed the blaze continuing to spread and intensify close to midnight.

Arthur's Seat, an ancient volcanic peak in Holyrood Park, is one of Edinburgh's best-known tourist attractions.
