Father and son: Passing the spirit of charity from generation to generation

Albert Yeung's philanthropic journey began with the teachings of his father, Yeung Shing, a native of Chaozhou, Guangdong province, who had donated funds to build Yeung Shing New Village and Laiyi Primary School in his hometown, improving the infrastructure.

This spirit of giving back to his roots deeply influenced Albert Yeung, and the spirit of charity has been passed down within the family.

In the face of major disasters, Emperor Group has demonstrated remarkable speed of action. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it donated 10 million yuan ($1.47 million) worth of medical protective supplies and funds to Hubei province in 2020. In 2021, when Henan suffered severe flooding, the group and its artistes contributed nearly 15 million yuan in donations. Following the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po of Hong Kong in late 2025, the group donated over HK$30 million ($3.84 million). On the very day of the incident, it mobilized inventory from its own furniture brand, delivering over 1,000 brand-new bedding sets to address residents' immediate needs, and provided new mattresses to nearly 2,000 households. Numerous artistes under the group responded in kind, with Gin Lee donating all proceeds from two concerts to disaster relief and reconstruction efforts.

Today, Albert Yeung's understanding has deepened further: at the heart of charity lies human warmth, which is not just material support, but dignity and companionship. The group is promoting an integrated "medical-nursing care" model and introducing palliative care training programs, with the goal of ensuring that the elderly are not only "provided for" but also "at ease" in their later years.
